Ron Paul is a real American. He supports the traditional conservative, non-interventionist foreign policy our Founders recommended. It is Bush and his fellow neo-cons who should be in your Hall of Shame. They have trampled the Constitution, gotten thousands of American soldiers killed and maimed in an illegal, undeclared war. They have caused government power and government debt to rise to unprecidented heights.
Bush should be impeached, and Ron Paul should be our next president.
    He has my vote.

  4. Joe Joe Says:

Hooray for Ron Paul! Bring our boys home to defend our borders.

  5. Mike Mike Says:

You left off the biggest RINO of all: George W. Bush. A president who, even with control of the house and senate, failed to deliver a solution to the SS issue or make any meaningful conservative change, yet managed to give more handouts to people through drug prescriptions and other programs. The only thing he accomplished was getting us into Iraq, and once the American people saw the results of his rhetoric and policies, saw that we were told scary things that weren’t exactly true or were greatly exaggerated, they started around at what else W may have done that is right, and they aren’t liking what they see. W has done nothing but spend our money and get alot of people killed. Well over 300,000 Iraqi civilians have died because the US took the war to them, how does anyone think we are more safe, are there not elements within the remaining families of the 300k+ civilians who might read some comments from some idiotic American who say things like “It’s better we’re fighting terrorists in Iraq, otherwise we would have to fight them here?” Even W said this at some point, and it sends a clear message: the US will take the fight to YOUR back yard, so it doesn’t have to do it in ours and oh, by the way, you may lose over 300,000 civilians. But hey, Saddam killed a few thousand and so he likely would have killed that many anyway, eventually. Brilliant strategy to win the hearts and minds. We have lost over 3000 of our own citizens, countless numbers maimed, and what have we accomplished thus far in the Middle East? Let’s say Iraqis finally get democracy, look at what the Palestinians chose when they were given democracy: Hamas. Look at who the Iranians chose to be their leader. If Iraqis elect al Sadr, will this be enough evidence to the remaining war supporters that it was a blunder? Somehow I doubt it. Opposers of the war like Ron Paul will be put on “Hall of Shame” lists on sites such as this even if al Sadr got elected, and in fact, somehow these devout Bush Republicans will find some way to lay the blame on someone else. Hindsight shows that Ron Paul was right in voting against the Iraq war resolution. You could certainly argue that we shouldn’t leave now that we’re there, but to say you would want to do it all over again, which is implied by putting him on this list? Paul is more of a conservative than Bush by most measures. To put Paul on a list as an outcast because he was one of few Republicans who had the wisdom to do so, while also ignoring how his views of government, spending, and abortion, is just mind boggling.

Republicans can do one of two things: Field a sufficiently different candidate in 2008, one who is true to the minimalist government, or lose control of the executive. I think Ron Paul is the party’s best choice in 2008.

Mike: You are absolutely right that El Hefe Jorge needs to be on our ‘Hall of Shame’, but not for the reasons you might think. That will be rectified soon. If you had read any of our site, you would know we are the farthest thing from being Bush lackies. And to your stand on the war, that’s your choice, but you won’t get any traction here. If you want to believe the tripe doled out to us by the liberal main stream media, well that is entirely up to you. But don’t bring your “Bush Lied … People died” rhetoric here, it has no legs. As far as a sufficiently different candidate in 2008 goes, there are better options out there than Ron Paul. According to a study released by the National Journal, Ron Paul’s lifetime voting record is 51.7 out of a possible score of 99, making him more liberal than Hagel or McCain.

  7. Flo Flo Says:

Let them have fun fooling themselves. Ron Paul is the only one fit for the Whitehouse.

Watch as the true conservatives leave the Rino’s behind. They are closer to destroying the Republican party then they know.

The fist 1000 have aready jumped ship!!!! and I am positive there are atleast 8 for every one who signed the petition.

    LOL

  8. Mike Mike Says:

    RINO_Hunter,

I’d like to apologize for calling you as a Bush supporter without thoroughly reading your site, that wasn’t very big of me.

I didn’t include my entire critique of W here, I just kinda went off on a rant and mentioned a few items. I’m not part of the Bush lied people died crowd, I’m more of a “The Bush administration blew intelligence out of proportion to convince the American people that Saddam had links to 9/11 or al Qaeda and war was justified and necessary” kind of guy. I base this on the fact that the public support going in was essentially based on trust that the President knew things that we did not, compelling things that are not public knowledge, but as it turns out they made most every possible piece of intelligence available to us, even intelligence that wasn’t very good. Very, very few Americans would agree to do it again given the evidence we have.

Paul may break with the Republican party on a few issues, but when he supports a conservative issue, he does so in a strong and sane way. For example, his position on abortion: Abortion is bad, and Roe v. Wade needs to go, because states need to be deciding these issues. He doesn’t support state’s rights in this case only because it benefits his current position like most politicians, he truly believes that federalism is the the best way to handle it. Paul’s position supports both state’s rights and pro-life conservatism at the same time.

If you haven’t heard his argument against abortion, you should listen to it. It’s about halfway through the clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhex77v8NDQ

I look forward to seeing W’s name on your RINO list. ;)

Rino: Good one… but it’s Gov. Hairspray. Remember we talked about that in the staff meeting “Brand recognition”, branding, branding, branding. But to Perry’s credit he has done a couple of things right lately. There is a new coordination taking place between the Sherrif’s, ICE, Eyes on the Border, and the National Guard that Perry has hired a retired army officer to head up. And it’s working they got a HUGE bust this week through a coordinated effort, which sadly is a first.

Mike: Welcome to blog.cementlagoon.com! you will find that we have a difference of opinion where the war is concerned. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on that one.. You will also find we’re not so hot on NAFTA/CAFTA either, being right next to the Trans-Texas corridor and all. Want more info on the largest land grab in the State of Texas under the gusie of “free trade” then look at http://www.corridorwatch.org/ttc/index.htm
